Take a walk around the village and view our beautiful antique buildings e.g. one of Iceland’s oldest trading stores, Langabúð (1790), which now contains three museums and a pleasant coffee house, Geysir (1900), now home to the municipal offices, and the pretty Hótel Framtíð (1905) Faktorshúsið (1848), the old trading manager’s house, and the former church (1893) are currently under renovation
