Æðasteinn lighthouse – a pretty structure a little way inland from the Gleðivík Eggs. From there you can walk onwards to the fish-drying racks (fiskihjallar) near the highway and Rakkaberg, an elf church and cliff.
Hvitisandur – a beach on the north shore of Bulandsnes, fairly close to the harbour, which gets its beautiful light colour from seashells.
Sandarnir – vast black beaches out of the Bulandsnes peninsula.
Birdwatching – the Bulandsnes peninsula, with its wetland, lakes and beaches, offers a great opportunity for birdwatching.
